All About Monk

Monk Joinery is a family-run business, producing hand-made bespoke kitchens and all made-to-measure joinery. With decades of experience behind us we strive to provide the best possible quality and craftsmanship at affordable prices. We also have a wide range of solid and engineered hardwood flooring for supply and fit or supply only.

Gary Monk

Gary has been in the joinery trade for over 25 years. In that time he has developed a variety of skills and experience, with particular emphasis on bespoke furniture and luxurious hand-made kitchens.

Simon Foster

Simon has worked in the joinery trade for 13 years and been our company foreman for the past 2 years.

Simon has a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the trade and takes great pleasure in all processes of a job from the raw material to finished product. His skill, enthusiasm, and friendliness are an asset to the company.

Joe Aley

Joe has been qualified for nearly 10 years. After a 3 year college course which he throughly enjoyed he furthered his experience in cabinet making and joinery. However due to recession – and to his great disappointment – Joe had to temporarily leave the woodworking trade but in the meantime gained valuable experience in a managerial position.

Joe has been with us only a short time but is thrilled to be back in his chosen trade and loves working at a friendly local company.

Jayden Wright

Jay is the newest member of our team. After completing his training and working a further two years at that joinery Jay decided to broaden his horizons and relocated to our area.

Jay has already demonstrated the skill and experience gained in his previous employment and is an asset to the team.

Tom Jackson

Tom is the latest apprentice to join us and is at present undertaking a 2 year NVQ qualification. He started last summer and has amply demonstrated his willingness to learn.

Tom has already developed in his time with the company and is producing a good standard of work and demonstrating an understanding for all aspects of the trade. We look forward to his continued progress within our company.
